Electrobike Zone Sàrl – Swiss Battery
1. Scope
These General Terms and Conditions of Sale and Service (GTC) apply to all orders, services and sales carried out by Electrobike Zone Sàrl, including under the Swiss Battery brand, whether in-store, in the workshop or via the online shop.
2. Online orders and conclusion of the contract
By confirming an order via the online shop, the customer makes a binding offer. A mere automatic confirmation of receipt does not constitute acceptance. The contract is concluded when we confirm the order or dispatch the items.
3. Prices and payment
Prices are quoted in Swiss francs (CHF), inclusive of VAT. Delivery charges and any other applicable fees are shown separately during the ordering process.
Payment is made via the methods offered (card, online payment, invoice, etc.). The items remain the property of Electrobike Zone Sàrl until they have been paid for in full.
4. Delivery, collection and transport
Delivery within Switzerland is carried out by the carrier of our choice. The delivery times stated are for guidance only and do not constitute a firm guarantee.
Transport risks (loss, theft, damage) pass to the customer upon handover of the parcel to the carrier. The customer must check the parcels on receipt and report any discrepancies immediately.
In the case of in-store collection, the customer will be notified as soon as the order is ready. The risks are transferred at the time the order is made available.
5. Right of return
The conditions for returns and refunds are set out in our Returns and Refunds Policy. Certain items and services (in particular Swiss Battery refurbishments and repairs) are excluded from returns.
6. Workshop services & Swiss Battery
Electrobike Zone Sàrl offers the following workshop services under the Swiss Battery brand:
- battery reconditioning, repair and rebuilding,
- diagnostics and technical interventions,
- sale and installation of components.
Swiss Battery services are bespoke. Once the work has been carried out, no returns, refunds or cancellations are possible.
7. Warranty
Unless otherwise stated, Electrobike Zone Sàrl provides the following warranties from the date of delivery or collection:
- complete kits, motors, new batteries: 24 months or 5,000 km (whichever comes first),
- new bikes (mechanical parts): 24 months,
- assembly kits: 3 months,
- standard parts and accessories: 24 months,
- Swiss Battery services (refurbishment, repair): 2 years on labour and components supplied.
The warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship. Electrobike Zone Sàrl shall determine the method of resolution for the warranty claim (repair, replacement, price reduction or refund).
7.1 Warranty exclusions
The warranty is specifically excluded in the event of:
- poor maintenance or improper use,
- shocks, impacts, falls, damage caused by moisture or submersion,
- incorrect storage (e.g. battery left completely discharged),
- overcharging or excessive discharging,
- use of an unsuitable charger,
- interference by a third party following our work,
- the battery being opened by the customer,
- extreme storage temperatures.
7.2 Special cases (Bafang, Speedbox)
For Bafang kits and similar systems, the warranty may be void in the event of use at speeds exceeding 25 km/h, lack of maintenance, exceeding the maximum authorised weight or visible impact damage.
For speed-limiter removal devices (Speedbox, etc.), the customer assumes full technical and legal responsibility. The use of such devices may result in the loss of the manufacturer’s warranty. Electrobike Zone Sàrl cannot be held liable for any resulting damage.
8. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, Electrobike Zone Sàrl accepts no liability for consequential damages, financial losses or loss of earnings. Maximum liability is limited to the amount invoiced for the product or service in question.
The customer is solely responsible for complying with the law when using modified or unrestricted bicycles on public roads.
9. Data protection
The collection and processing of personal data are described in our Privacy Policy.
10. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms and Conditions are governed by Swiss law. The place of jurisdiction is the registered office of Electrobike Zone Sàrl, in Prilly, unless otherwise required by mandatory statutory provisions.
